Why choose sustainable wines?

Sustainable viticulture produces goods and services that meet the socioeconomic and cultural needs of our global population.

Agriculture is a practice that extracts matter from the environment, such as nutrients from the soil, its fruits, and different forms of energy. At the same time, it is an activity that adds matter in the form of waste and effluents. As such, it is imperative to find a balance that allows the use of resources while protecting the environment and the communities that inhabit it.

Sustainable wines are the result of extreme care throughout the entire production process, with respect and protection of the agroecosystem in which it is developed. Under the principle of minimizing the negative impact and maximizing the positive impact, sustainability is not a set of isolated measures, but is the support and essence of the global work system.

We use our RGI Wine Index to ensure that we only work with producers who have verifiably chosen to make an adequate management of the soil, the use of water, phytosanitary products, the production and management of waste, the selection of materials and energy consumption. The awareness and action in pursuit of the care of the environment and the societies that inhabit it, highlights a final product of excellence, which can be lasting over time. In this way, consumption is part of a chain in which all its members are actively deciding to be a force for positive change.
